Most businesses should have a presence on social media avenues such as Facebook, Twitter, and the Google family of outlets (Google+, YouTube, etc).
However, there can be the issue with Google outlets as they want you to have a Google account. But what if you don’t want to have a Gmail address to contend with along with the mountain of other email addresses you might have your business…? There is a way around it. Thankfully.
Now, this used to be a bit easier to accomplish, but within the last few months we’ve witnessed the changes happening with Google and getting to this point where you can actually create a Google account with an email address of different origin. I’m not sure when it changed, but it used to be an option when setting up a Google Account… now, they make it impossible.
However, we have the direct link needed to create a Google Account WITHOUT Gmail.
Click that image above or click here and start your Google Account for Google+ and YouTube without needing to have another email account. Tie it to any other non-Gmail account and you’re golden.
You’ll be able to function just as you need for your business with a proper Google+ and YouTube account. This will also allow you to have your Google Analytics account, too.
Do you have a Google account with or without Gmail? What’s your preference? Why?
